All of this snow makes me want to .........

Snow is beautiful, snow is fun to play in, snow gives us a warm feeling (inside, that is).  
The art of the snowflake is an art in itself- no two are alike!

Take a snowman, they are created by folks everywhere so no two are alike!

It's February and we in the Northeast are encountering yet another beautiful snowstorm.  Schools and activities are canceled,  Even some businesses have closed for the day!  

Keep art in mind as you look at the snowfall, snowflakes, snow piles, snowmen, snow drifts, snow paths and, well all of that snow!

Answer this question:  All of this snow makes me want to ..........

(my answer...  stay inside with a nice cup of coffee, a fire and old movies.

Kids Kreate ~ A wonderful class for young artists!

Every Wednesday from 3:45-5:45 PM the doors open into the old section of the Pine Valley Mill.  Inside you will find lots of brick, artwork, paint, brushes and inspiration.  The instructor, Lisa, leads artists and artist wanna-be's ages 8-12 ish step by step to creating their very own works of art similar to that of the great masters of our time.

From Renoir to Andy Warhol, students can unleash their inner creativity while learning about one of these creators of art.

No experience is necessary but is certainly welcomed at this afterschool extravaganza of art education.

Venture inside the walls of Art Happens for an experience like no other in this area.

Coffee and Art

Watch for our weekend morning Art gatherings at Art Happens.  We recently held our first 'Coffee & Art' with a Paint-a-Slate class.  Our students created beautiful paintings on slate while sipping coffee and snacking on goodies.  Each gathering will feature either a class or a 'Bring your own art' theme.   Coffee, tea and goodies complimentary.
